The American Nexus

While scrolling through the news, have you ever felt like you’re putting together a thousand-piece puzzle but not coming close to the final picture? You get a headline about politics, a snippet about technology, and a totally unrelated story about the economy, and you have to decide how—or if—it all ties together.

It was that feeling that inspired The American Nexus.

We felt it too. “Frustration with news that felt disjointed and a deep hunger for context. A nexus is a juncture, something that has a point in the middle where things attach to, and that is our mission. We’re here to be the spot where the many strands of American news and culture are untangled and sewn back together into a clear, coherent story.

We don’t just chase headlines. We connect the dots.

At The American Nexus, we believe that you can’t really understand a significant change in business without understanding what role it inevitably plays in the hands of new technology. You can’t understand the complexity of US politics simply by singling out health and entertainment trends that shape how people decide to vote. And because we now live in a globalized world, you can’t really have the complete story about American news without also understanding its effects on world news.”

Whether it be sports or social issues, we provide American culture analysis that cuts deeper than the surface and into the why and how of the what.

Our Promise to You

Our pledge is simple: clarity, honesty, and a willingness to take a stand when it is called for, independent American journalism at its best that respects your intelligence. We’re not here to tell you what to believe; we’re here to give you the facts and context on which to build your own sense of truth. We’re here to ask hard questions & help to shed light on complex topics!

This is not only a news site. It’s the beginning of a more transparent dialogue.
